We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Staff Nurse for our Labour Room to provide safe, effective and compassionate nursing care to pregnant women during labour, delivery and the immediate postpartum period. The candidate should have sound clinical knowledge, emergency management skills and the ability to work in coordination with obstetricians, paediatricians and the nursing team.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide nursing care to patients during labour, delivery and the immediate postpartum period.
- Monitor maternal vital signs, fetal heart rate and progress of labour as per hospital protocols.
- Assist obstetricians and gynaecologists during normal deliveries and obstetric procedures.
- Maintain readiness of labour room equipment, emergency medicines, instruments and delivery trays.
- Identify and promptly report obstetric emergencies, including fetal distress, postpartum haemorrhage and eclampsia.
- Assist in emergency management and ensure timely escalation to the treating consultant.
- Maintain accurate nursing records, labour monitoring charts, delivery registers and patient documentation.
- Follow infection prevention,



biomedical waste management and patient safety protocols.
- Ensure proper handover and coordination with the ward, OT, NICU and other clinical departments.
- Comply with hospital policies, nursing standards and applicable NABH accreditation requirements.

Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing.
- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of relevant Labour Room experience preferred.
- Registration: Valid registration with the State Nursing Council.
- Valuable clinical knowledge of maternal and newborn care.
- Ability to manage emergencies and work in rotational shifts.
- Strong communication, teamwork and patient-care skills.
