Role & responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries.

- Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, hemodynamic parameters, and overall patient condition.

- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care as per hospital protocols.

- Administer medications, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments safely.

- Monitor and manage chest drains, surgical wounds, and other post-operative devices as per competency and protocols.

- Identify and promptly report any deterioration in the patient's condition.

- Maintain accurate nursing documentation, patient records, and treatment charts.

- Ensure infection prevention, patient safety, and compliance with NABH standards.

- Coordinate with doctors and the multidisciplinary healthcare team for effective patient management.

- Educate patients and their attendants regarding treatment, recovery, and discharge instructions.

- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and clinical protocols.
