Role Description The Sports Writer at Criclive.in will research, write, and edit cricket-related articles, match reports, opinion pieces, and features tailored to a wide audience of fans. Day-to-day responsibilities include following live matches, producing ball-by-ball updates when needed, generating timely content around news and trends, and contributing to discussions that engage the fan community.

The role involves collaborating with editors to refine story angles, maintaining a consistent tone and style, and ensuring factual accuracy across all published content. This is a full time,



on-site position based in Janakpuri, requiring regular presence in the office to coordinate with the editorial team and respond quickly to unfolding events in the cricketing world.

Qualifications

- Strong Communication skills, including explicit, engaging writing and the ability to explain complex sporting moments to a broad audience.
- Deep interest in Sports, with specific knowledge of Cricket and familiarity with other sports such as Football.
- Experience in Coaching or Sports Coaching, with the ability to analyze tactics, team strategies, and player performance in a structured manner.
- Basic understanding of Sales or audience growth, with an interest in helping increase readership and engagement through compelling storytelling.
- Proficiency in English grammar and editing, with attention to detail and accuracy in facts, statistics, and sources.
- Ability to work on-site in Janakpuri, manage deadlines in a fast-paced news environment, and collaborate effectively with a diverse editorial team.
- Relevant academic background in Journalism, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Prior experience in sports writing, blogging, or content creation for digital platforms is an advantage.
