Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Sports & Activities Trainer to manage and promote sports, physical activities, fitness programs, and extracurricular activities for students. The candidate will be responsible for developing students' physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship while ensuring effective execution of sports and recreational programs across the institution.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organize, and conduct regular sports training and physical activity programs for students.
- Develop annual and monthly sports calendars covering indoor and outdoor activities.
- Train students in various sports such as cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, athletics, table tennis, and other relevant sports.
- Conduct fitness, conditioning, warm-up, agility, endurance, and strength-building sessions.
- Identify students' sporting interests and abilities and provide appropriate coaching and development plans.
- Organize inter-college, intra-college, and inter-departmental sports competitions.
- Coordinate participation in university, district, state, and other recognized sporting events.
- Conduct sports trials and assist in selecting students for institutional teams.
- Maintain records of student participation, performance, achievements, and attendance.
- Promote physical fitness, healthy lifestyle practices, teamwork, discipline, leadership,



and sportsmanship among students.
- Organize recreational activities, fitness challenges, sports clubs, and student engagement activities.
- Coordinate with faculty, administration, student affairs, and management for sports-related activities.
- Ensure proper maintenance, availability, and safe use of sports equipment and facilities.
- Maintain inventory of sports equipment and recommend procurement or replacement when required.
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines during sports training and competitions.
- Coordinate with external coaches, sports associations, referees, event organizers, and institutions when required.
- Prepare schedules, event plans, budgets, participation reports, and sports activity MIS.
- Encourage maximum student participation in sports and extracurricular activities.
- Support the institution in promoting a positive and active campus culture.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed./M.P.Ed.), Sports Management, or a relevant field.
- 4+ years of experience in Sports Training, Physical Education, Sports Coaching, or Student Activities.
- Solid knowledge of sports training, fitness, physical conditioning, and sports event management.
- Good communication, leadership, mentoring, and team-management skills.
- Ability to motivate and train students of different age groups and skill levels.
- Knowledge of sports safety procedures and basic first-aid practices.

Preferred Profile

- Experience working with a college, university, school, sports academy, or educational institution.
- Experience organizing inter-college/university sports competitions and large-scale sporting events.
- Coaching certification in one or more recognized sports will be an added advantage.
- Experience managing sports facilities, equipment, teams, and external sporting partnerships.
- Strong interest in student development and extracurricular activities.
