Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Sheet Metal & SolidWorks Designer who can develop accurate 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and sheet-metal designs using SolidWorks. The candidate should understand fabrication, bending, laser cutting, welding and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Create 3D sheet-metal models and assemblies in SolidWorks.

Prepare accurate 2D manufacturing/fabrication drawings with dimensions, tolerances and specifications.

Develop flat patterns, bend allowances and DXF files for laser cutting.

Design parts for laser cutting, bending, welding and fabrication.

Select suitable sheet thickness, bend radius, material and manufacturing method.

Modify existing designs according to production requirements.

Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials)



and maintain design documentation.

Coordinate with Production, Quality and Purchase teams for design-related issues.

Review drawings before releasing them for production.

Make design changes based on customer requirements and production feedback.

Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective and manufacturable.

Maintain proper revision control of drawings and design files.

Required Skills

Good knowledge of SolidWorks 3D & 2D.

Strong knowledge of Sheet Metal Design.

Knowledge of DXF, flat pattern and bend deduction.

Understanding of laser cutting and press-brake operations.

Basic knowledge of welding and fabrication.

Knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drawings.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Positive problem-solving and communication skills.

Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
