Orus Studio is a software development company that builds custom software solutions, SaaS products, enterprise applications, ERP and CRM systems, AI-powered applications, websites, and mobile applications.

We are looking for a motivated and technically strong Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Kolkata. You will work on real-world client projects and internal products, contributing to the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and software products.
- Build responsive, user-friendly frontend interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Develop backend services, REST APIs, authentication systems, and business logic.
- Design, manage, and optimise relational databases and data models.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services.
- Debug issues, improve application performance, and maintain code quality.
- Work with Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment environments.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver projects on time.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, testing, and documentation.
- Take ownership of assigned features from development through deployment and maintenance.

Required Technical Skills
- Programming: Strong fundamentals in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Frontend: Experience with React.js or Next.js, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
- Backend: Experience with Node.js and Express.js, or an equivalent backend framework.
- Databases: Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases.
- APIs: Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and third-party integrations.




- Version Control: Practical experience with Git and GitHub.
- Fundamentals: Data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Deployment: Basic understanding of Linux, Docker, cloud hosting, or CI/CD workflows.

Valuable to Have
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with Python and AI/ML integrations or LLM-based applications.
- Experience with Redis, queues, background jobs, or real-time applications.
- Knowledge of automated testing and application security.
- Experience building SaaS products, ERP/CRM systems, or other enterprise applications.
- A portfolio of personal projects, GitHub repositories, or deployed applications.

Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical skills.
- Candidates with up to 3 years of relevant experience are welcome to apply.
- Strong analytical thinking and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Good communication skills and a responsible, delivery-oriented mindset.
