Software Development Engineer II

About the role

At FlyCT, SDE-2 engineers play a key role in building scalable, intelligent, and AI-powered products that enhance the travel experience for millions of users. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying both traditional software components and AI-driven solutions based on product requirements. This includes leveraging Large Language Models

(LLMs), Agentic AI frameworks, and modern cloud-native architectures to solve complex business problems.

You are expected to design and develop multiple technology components within your functional area while adhering to engineering best practices, design principles, and architectural patterns that ensure maintainability, extensibility, and scalability. You will contribute to the development of intelligent systems, AI agents, conversational experiences, recommendation engines, and workflow automation solutions.

and emerging technologies that can transform the travel industry.

What you’ll do

● Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered features leveraging Large Language Models

(LLMs) and Agentic AI frameworks.





● Build intelligent agents capable of reasoning, planning, tool invocation, and workflow automation.

● Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions integrating enterprise knowledge bases, APIs, and databases.

● Evaluate, optimize, and monitor LLM performance, ensuring reliability, accuracy, security,

● Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to identify and implement and scalability.

What you’ll need

● Hands-on experience building production-grade Generative AI applications using LLMs such as Claude, GPT, Gemini, Llama, or equivalent models.

● Strong understanding of Agentic AI concepts, autonomous workflows, multi-agent systems, and AI orchestration patterns.

● Experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen,

Semantic Kernel, or similar.

● Experience implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector search,

● Proficiency in prompt engineering, model evaluation, fine-tuning concepts, and AI

● Experience in building applications using Java spring boot framework

● Experience with Test Driven Development

● Familiarity with databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache,

Preferred Candidate Profile

We are seeking engineers who combine strong software engineering fundamentals with expertise in Generative AI and Agentic AI systems. The ideal candidate should be capable of designing scalable microservices while building intelligent AI-powered products that leverage

LLMs, autonomous agents, RAG architectures, and enterprise AI workflows.

Updated Experience Requirement

B.Tech/M.Tech or equivalent with 3.5+ years of software development experience,

including at least 1+ year of hands-on experience building production-grade Generative

AI, LLM, Agentic AI, or intelligent automation solutions.
