Role Overview The Software Developer – Meshing will be responsible for the development and delivery of ETA’s CAE-driven simulation software, specifically the meshing modules of its FEA-based product offerings. The role involves developing high-quality software using C++ and TCL/Tk, contributing to meshing algorithms and mesh editing/cleanup capabilities, and working with a global Agile development team at ETA’s Bangalore R&D; Centre.

Position: Software Developer Location: Bangalore Experience: 3-8 years’ experience in C++ development Qualification: B. Tech/BE/M. Tech/ME in Computer Science/Mechanical Engineering Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, troubleshoot,



and debug software modules using C++ and TCL/Tk.

- Develop and maintain meshing modules for CAE/FEA-based simulation software.
- Work on triangular, quadrilateral, and solid meshing of CAD parts.
- Develop and enhance mesh editing and mesh cleanup functionalities.
- Apply meshing algorithms, mathematical concepts, and geometric principles to engineering software.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software in accordance with global development and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams in an Agile development environment.
- Follow software development processes, object-oriented design principles, and applicable quality measures.
- Required Skills and Experience • 3–8 years of hands-on software development experience in C++.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in triangular, quadrilateral, and solid meshing of CAD parts.
- Experience in mesh editing and mesh cleanup software development.
- Strong understanding of: o C++ programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). o CAE/FEM applications, geometry, mathematics, and meshing techniques. o Meshing algorithms and cleanup methodologies.
- Sound mathematical and geometrical skills.
- Experience in user interface/graphics software development.




- Knowledge of software development processes and quality standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Preferred Skills • Experience with geometry kernel APIs such as ACIS or Parasolid.
- Familiarity with up-to-date C++ standards and STL.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
- Working knowledge of Visual Studio and SVN.
- Familiarity with AI tools for software development.
- Understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes.
- Experience in CAE, CAD, meshing, or metal forming software development organizations.

Educational

Qualifications • B.Tech/BE or M.Tech/ME in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- Relevant software development experience in CAE/CAD or engineering simulation applications is essential.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have strong C++ development skills combined with hands-on experience in CAD geometry meshing, meshing algorithms, mesh editing, and cleanup. Candidates with experience developing CAE/FEM, CAD, or metal forming simulation software will be preferred.

Key Screening Priority: Prioritize candidates with 3–8 years of C++ development experience and at least 2 years of hands-on CAD meshing experience, including triangular, quadrilateral, and solid meshing, mesh editing, and mesh cleanup.
