BESS Project - Site Manager

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors / master’s degree in electrical / E&I; Engineering & Construction Management.

15+ years of experience in project management (Include civil activities).

Advanced proficiency and experience with MS Office, CAD, PDM and ERP systems, PMP Certification (preferred).

Experience with electrical system design, substation layouts, and grid interconnection requirements.

Familiarity with renewable energy systems, energy storage technologies, and power distribution

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work with electrical / EPC contractors during the design, construction phases (Civil & installation activities), Commissioning activities, (including site visits) to challenge and develop required electrical equipment including battery modules, inverters, transformers, medium/low voltage boards and protection systems.
2. Manage the project cycle from start to finish with a strong focus on technical feasibility, implementation, and ensuring the highest standards of Safety, quality, reliability and conduct training programs in QEHS.
3. Develop and review detailed designs and specifications for battery storage and substation systems.
4. Ensure that engineering designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project objectives.
5. Oversee the selection and integration of electrical components, such as transformers, inverters, switchgear, and control systems.
6. Perform load calculations, fault current analysis, protection coordination studies, and other engineering assessments.

Demonstrate proficiency in working with single line diagrams and the ability to quickly analyse the electrical configuration of an industrial site and able to quickly identify opportunities and resolve obstacles during different project phases.
8. Act as primary technical contact for project-related technical studies, collaborate with DSO and TSO for orientation and detailed studies. { transmission system operator (TSO) and distribution system operator (DSO)}
9. Coordinate highly matrixed project development teams to meet project schedules. Develop technical scopes and optimize project variables for improved feasibility.
10. Manage, report on, and control project costs and schedule through all phases of the project and ensure adherence to the controlled budgets and baseline schedules.
11. Oversee administration of the project in accordance with contract requirements and procedures and direct and manage the project team for the execution of the designated scope of work.
12. Risk Management & Problem-Solving, orchestrate project closeout and document lessons learned.
13. Track progress against the established project plan and make decisions to alter or update schedule and resource allocation as needed to meet schedule requirements.
14. Collaborate with environmental, regulatory, and land acquisition teams to integrate project variables.
15. Solid project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, Communication skills, possess interpersonal skills and be able to motivate people.
16. First point of contact for external stakeholders regarding the battery project.
17. Lead the design for integration of battery power systems for seamless installation of the Renewable proposal within the customer site.
18. Review and finalize quotes for hardware procurement. Follow up on delivery times.
