Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Sheet Metal Fitter with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in sheet metal fabrication, fitting, and assembly. The candidate should be able to read engineering drawings, measure and mark sheet metal components, and perform fitting and assembly work while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and measurements.
- Measure, mark, cut, and prepare sheet metal components as per specifications.
- Fit, align, and assemble sheet metal parts using appropriate hand tools and power tools.
- Perform drilling, grinding, deburring, and tack fitting as required.
- Assist in sheet metal fabrication activities, including bending and forming, when required.
- Check dimensions, alignment, and fit-up of components to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with fabricators, welders, and supervisors to complete jobs as per production schedules.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized workplace.
- Follow company quality procedures and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Report material defects, dimensional discrepancies, and other work-related issues to the supervisor.





Required Qualifications and Skills

- Minimum 1 year of experience in sheet metal fitting, fabrication, or assembly work.
- ITI or vocational qualification in Fitter, Sheet Metal, or a related trade is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and measurement instruments.
- Ability to use measuring tapes, vernier calipers, squares, grinders, drills, and other fitting tools.
- Knowledge of sheet metal materials, components, and assembly techniques.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work in a team.
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and work instructions.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in industrial fabrication, ducting, enclosures, panels, equipment covers, or similar sheet metal products.
- Basic knowledge of welding preparation and fit-up.
- Ability to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards.

Work Environment

The candidate will work in a sheet metal fabrication workshop or industrial production facility and may be required to handle metal components, operate fitting tools, and use appropriate personal protective equipment. Experience Required: Minimum 1 year

Salary: As per company standards and candidate experience

Joining: Immediate joiners preferred

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
