Position: Senior UAV Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled UAV Solution Architect (Mechanical Design) who can design and develop advanced unmanned aerial systems from concept to deployment. The candidate should possess solid expertise in mechanical airframe design, avionics electronics, and autopilot integration across multiple flight stacks.

The role requires hands-on experience with multirotor platforms (Quad and Hexa FPV) and a deep understanding of open-source autopilot ecosystems such as INAV, Betaflight, Ardupilot, and PX4. Experience with VTOL platforms will be considered an added advantage.

This position involves end-to-end UAV system architecture, including hardware selection, integration, testing, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

UAV System Architecture

- Design complete UAV system architecture including airframe, avionics, propulsion, and communication systems.
- Develop modular UAV platforms for different mission profiles such as surveillance, inspection, delivery, or defense applications.
- Define system interfaces between flight controllers, sensors, payloads, and ground control systems.

Mechanical Design

- Design and optimize UAV airframes for multirotor platforms (Quad and Hexa).
- Perform structural analysis, weight optimization, and vibration management.
- Develop CAD models and mechanical assemblies for UAV components.
- Work with manufacturing teams for prototype fabrication and production readiness.

Avionics & Electronics Integration

- Design and integrate avionics architecture including:

- Flight controllers

- GPS/RTK modules

- Telemetry systems

- ESCs and power distribution





- Sensors and payload electronics
- Troubleshoot and optimize electrical noise, power management, and signal integrity.

Autopilot & Flight Stack Integration

- Configure and customize autopilot systems including:

- INAV

- Betaflight

- Ardupilot

- PX4
- Implement flight tuning, PID optimization, and system calibration.
- Develop integration with Ground Control Stations (GCS) using the MAVLink protocol.
- Support FPV and autonomous flight operations.

Flight Testing & Validation

- Conduct field testing, tuning, and validation of UAV systems.
- Analyze flight logs and optimize system performance.
- Implement safety mechanisms, redundancy, and failsafe systems.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

- Strong expertise in multirotor UAV platforms (Quad and Hexa FPV).
- Hands-on experience with INAV, Betaflight, Ardupilot, and PX4 autopilot systems.
- Knowledge of MAVLink communication protocol.
- Experience with UAV propulsion systems, ESCs, motors, and battery systems.
- Understanding of sensor integration (IMU, GPS, LiDAR, cameras, etc.).
- Experience with UAV communication systems (RF telemetry, FPV, digital video).

Mechanical Skills

- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / CATIA / similar).
- Experience in airframe design, material selection, and structural analysis.
- Knowledge of 3D printing, CNC fabrication, and composite structures.

Avionics & Embedded Systems

- Strong knowledge of UAV avionics architecture and electronics integration.
- Experience with power distribution systems and PCB integration.
- Basic understanding of embedded systems and microcontrollers.
