Position Value Proposition The L&D; Lead supports the Operations Manager in strengthening the organization’s technical capability by delivering structured training, technical guidance, and troubleshooting support to steel detailing teams.

This role focuses on bridging technical skill gaps within the organization by supporting the development, delivery, and reinforcement of training programs related to steel detailing standards, modeling practices, connection detailing, and software usage.

The L&D; Lead works closely with project teams to ensure that technical standards, detailing best practices, and software workflows are consistently applied across projects. The role contributes to improving drawing quality, modeling accuracy, and operational productivity through continuous technical learning, knowledge sharing, and structured skill development initiatives.

The position also plays a key role in maintaining technical documentation, supporting onboarding programs, and reinforcing lessons learned from projects to enhance the organization’s overall technical maturity.

Core Responsibilities

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Responsible for technical support for project teams by resolving issues related to steel detailing practices, modeling workflows, software tools, and internal technical processes, and escalate complex issues to the Technical Manager when required.

Assist teams in resolving challenges related to the effective use of detailing software such as Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and internal tools, including troubleshooting templates, macros, and automation utilities.

Support the Technical Manager in conducting structured training sessions focused on steel detailing standards, modeling best practices, connection detailing, Lesson learned and software workflows.

Assist in preparing and maintaining training materials, technical guides, demonstration models, tutorial videos,



and learning modules for use in internal training programs and on platforms such as Moodle LMS.

Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions for project teams based on lessons learned from projects, technical observations, client feedback, and quality reports.

Support the preparation and maintenance of documentation related to steel detailing standards, modeling guidelines, drawing templates, connection detailing practices, and internal technical procedures.

Support the Technical Manager in identifying skill gaps within teams using inputs from NCR reports, quality observations, productivity trends, and project feedback, and recommend suitable training interventions.

Assist in assessing team members’ technical proficiency during training programs or skill evaluations and support initiatives aimed at improving drawing quality, modeling accuracy, and technical productivity along with the OM.

Support onboarding programs and cadetship initiatives by guiding new hires and trainees in steel detailing standards, modeling workflows, software usage, and internal technical processes.

Scope Management

Ensure appropriate use of Tekla functionality by the team to gain efficiency (Custom Components etc).

Responsible for all modelling and detailing deliverables, including updating of JMS for hours to go against project schedule, and updating of weekly resource planner.

Responsible for the supply and content for the weekly project status report and updating of project notes.

Ensure action and timely responses to any client detailing queries and ensuring client standards / manuals are utilized.

Work Experience

Minimum of 10 years’experience, managing technicalteams.

Experienced communicator who confidently speaks to others and actively creates dialogue with other project specific interested parties.

Previous commercial experience, understanding project delivery costs issues deliverables within own area of responsibility.

Education/Training

Degree / Technical Diplomaor equivalent in relevant discipline.
