7–8 years of hands-on QA experience with strong expertise in database and backend testing.Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle management. Advanced SQL skills with experience in relational databases (preferably Oracle).Experience with data migration, history and takeover projects.Understanding of API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI (API responses, payload structures, business logic, and error handling).Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and data validation.Familiarity with batch processes, scheduled jobs, and asynchronous workflows.Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, DBAs, product owners, and business analysts.

Experience designing and automating backend and database tests when applicable.

Experience working in Agile teams with close collaboration across development and business stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, and data mapping documents to develop comprehensive test strategies.





Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for backend, database, and History & TakeOver testing.

Define test scope, risks, dependencies, and required test data for end-to-end validation.

Write and execute complex SQL queries (preferably Oracle) to validate data accuracy, relationships, transformations, and backend processing.

Validate stored procedures, triggers, views, constraints, and database transactions.

Investigate data defects, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with developers and DBAs to resolve issues.

Test backend services including REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, and background jobs.

Validate business logic, rules engines, transaction flows, and cross-service interactions.

Validate scheduled jobs (cron jobs, Tidal , batch processes etc) and asynchronous processing.

Test integrations with third-party systems and internal services

Validate migrated data to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and adherence to business rules
