Role Description This is a full-time Senior QA Engineer – Manual + AI Testing role based in Gurugram in a hybrid work model, combining on-site collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the Senior QA Engineer will design and execute manual test plans and test cases for complex enterprise applications, ensuring comprehensive coverage across functional, integration, regression, usability, and end-to-end scenarios.

The role involves leveraging AI-powered testing tools and frameworks to optimize test design, increase test automation coverage, and enhance defect detection through intelligent analytics and pattern recognition. The Senior QA Engineer will collaborate closely with product owners, developers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, refine acceptance criteria, and provide clear, data-backed quality metrics. Daily responsibilities include defect reporting and tracking, root cause analysis, test documentation, test environment coordination, participation in design and code reviews from a quality perspective, and contribution to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and AI-driven testing.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer with 6+ years of experience in manual testing, quality assurance, and AI-driven testing practices, along with exposure to automation testing. The ideal candidate should have solid expertise in functional testing, defect management, release validation, and risk-based testing, with practical knowledge of leveraging AI tools to enhance QA processes.

The candidate should be capable of identifying critical production issues, assessing release risks, improving test documentation, and using AI tools to optimize test case creation, defect analysis,



and testing efficiency. Experience with Jira and AI-assisted workflows is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using Jira or similar defect management tools.
- Assess defect severity and priority, distinguish between critical issues and blockers, and communicate business risks effectively.
- Participate in release planning, release readiness assessments, regression validation, and go/no-go discussions.
- Investigate critical defects, perform root cause analysis in collaboration with development teams, and validate fixes.
- Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, and other approved AI-powered testing solutions to generate test cases, identify edge cases, and improve test coverage.
- Use AI to assist in preparing test plans, test documentation, defect reports, test execution summaries, and release documentation.
- Explore and implement AI-assisted workflows integrated with Jira to streamline test management, defect reporting, and requirements analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve QA processes through AI-driven testing, intelligent test generation, and repetitive task optimization.
- Perform automation testing using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent frameworks, depending on project requirements.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Validate AI-generated test cases, scripts, and documentation for accuracy, reliability, and completeness before implementation.
- Continuously upgrade technical skills through relevant training, certifications, and learning in AI testing and automation.

* Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
- Hands-on experience in functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
- Expertise in test case design, test execution, defect reporting, and test documentation.

- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based releases.

* Practical experience using AI tools to improve QA productivity and test coverage.
- Knowledge of Generative AI, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted test case generation.
- Experience using AI for test documentation, test data generation, defect analysis, and test scenario optimization.
- Understanding of AI-assisted QA process improvement and opportunities for workflow automation.
- Ability to validate AI-generated outputs and identify incorrect or incomplete results.

1. Jira and AI Integration

* Hands-on experience with Jira for defect tracking, test management, and workflow management.
- Understanding of AI-assisted Jira workflows for generating test scenarios, drafting defect reports, summarizing issues, and improving documentation.
- Exposure to Jira AI capabilities, marketplace applications, APIs, or third-party AI integrations is an advantage.
- Ability to explain practical use cases and the impact of AI integration on QA efficiency.

1. Automation Testing

* Exposure to automation testing using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Java, Python, or JavaScript, depending on the automation framework.
- Understanding of automation frameworks, script execution, debugging, and regression suite maintenance.
- Ability to identify manual test cases suitable for automation.
- Willingness to strengthen automation skills and adopt AI-assisted automation techniques.

1. Release and Quality Management

* Experience supporting regular sprint releases and production hotfixes.
- Ability to evaluate defect impact and recommend release readiness based on testing results.
- Strong analytical skills in identifying high-risk scenarios and business-critical defects.
- Experience preparing test execution reports, defect summaries, and release sign-off documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

- 6+ years of overall QA experience with strong manual testing expertise.
- Demonstrated practical use of AI tools in software testing and documentation.
