We are looking for an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to support and manage enterprise-scale, business-critical trading and ETRM platforms.

The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on experience in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, and production support. Experience in energy trading, commodities, financial markets, or ETRM/CTRM platforms will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer, maintain, and support Oracle databases across Development, Test, UAT, Disaster Recovery, and Production environments.
- Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, migrations, backup, and recovery.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshoot SQL queries, and resolve database and infrastructure bottlenecks.
- Manage production incidents and ensure database availability, stability, resilience, and performance.
- Work closely with application support, development, DevOps, infrastructure, and business teams.
- Maintain database security, access controls, audit compliance, operational documentation, and support runbooks.
- Support application releases, change management,



batch processing, and critical trading system operations.
- Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, change, and release management.

Mandatory Skills
- 12+ years of overall IT experience with strong Oracle DBA expertise.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database 19c or later.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Linux/Unix.
- Hands-on experience with RMAN, backup and recovery, database monitoring, performance tuning, patching, and upgrades.
- Experience in Shell scripting, Python, Ansible, or similar automation tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and production support skills.
- Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and database resilience.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with ETRM/CTRM platforms such as Endur, Allegro, RightAngle, TriplePoint, or Aspect.
- Knowledge of energy trading, commodities, financial markets, risk management, settlements, and end-of-day valuation.
- Experience supporting high-volume transactions, market data loads, real-time interfaces, and batch processing.
- Understanding of trading application integrations and controlled release windows.
