About the Role

Ishmat Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Fashion Merchandiser specializing in Nightwear, Gymwear, and Sportswear. The candidate will manage product development, sourcing, costing, sampling, and production coordination from concept to final delivery.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of knitted garments, stretch fabrics, activewear, sleepwear, garment construction, fit, and apparel manufacturing, along with the ability to coordinate with design, sourcing, sampling, vendors, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the complete product development process for nightwear, gymwear, and sportswear, from sampling to bulk production.
- Coordinate with designers, pattern masters, sampling teams, suppliers, vendors, and production departments.
- Handle fabric and material sourcing, including cotton knits, jersey, rib, interlock, stretch fabrics, and performance materials.
- Prepare and maintain product specifications, BOMs, costing sheets, measurement charts, and order details.
- Coordinate sampling, fit trials, size-set approvals, pre-production samples, and bulk production approvals.
- Ensure garments meet approved designs, fitting, measurements, construction, comfort, and quality standards.
- Monitor production progress, order status, delivery schedules, and quality checkpoints.
- Coordinate sourcing of trims, elastics, drawcords, labels, accessories, and other garment components.
- Work with vendors to negotiate pricing, manage lead times, and resolve production-related issues.
- Ensure the right balance of comfort, durability, stretch, functionality, and appearance in finished garments.
- Maintain accurate records of samples, costing, purchase orders, production schedules, and deliveries.
- Provide regular updates to management and ensure timely completion of orders.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Fashion,



Apparel Merchandising, Textile, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in apparel merchandising, preferably in nightwear, activewear, gymwear, or sportswear.
- Strong knowledge of knitted fabrics, stretch materials, garment construction, stitching, and fitting.
- Understanding of sizing, measurement specifications, sampling, costing, and bulk production.
- Experience in fabric sourcing, vendor management, production follow-up, and quality coordination.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and merchandising reports.
- Strong communication, negotiation, coordination, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple styles and orders while meeting strict deadlines.

Preferred Experience Candidates with hands-on experience in any of the following categories will be preferred:
- Nightwear & Sleepwear: Pajamas, night suits, lounge sets, robes, and comfortable homewear.
- Gymwear & Activewear: Leggings, sports bras, gym T-shirts, shorts, joggers, and performance apparel.
- Sportswear: Tracksuits, training wear, sports T-shirts, athletic shorts, and other functional sports garments.
- Knitted Apparel: Jersey, rib, interlock, stretch knits, and other knitted garment categories.

Experience with stretch fabrics, elasticated garments, performance materials, and fit development will be an added advantage.
