Purpose of the Role: The role is responsible to ensure the creation of standards related to manufacturing of Tata Motors Gensets and it’s implementation.

Resolving Customer Quality issues by Product design improvements for Axles/Engines, establishing process standards in coordination with Operation QA.

Job Responsibilities:

- Formulate SOPs related to manufacturing of Tata Motors Gensets and ensure that the same are being followed by GOEMs during their manufacturing operations.
- Implement design improvement based on Customer issues/suggestions
- Partner with Service Execution, Plant QA and Operations teams to ensure a QRT approach is followed in case of any customer issues, and that the relevant issues are taken up in the Service/CCT meetings.
- Do regular audits of assembly processes at GOEM end to understand whether applicable SOPs are being followed.
- Ensure timely IQA with Customer/Advanced Quality for PMXU parts so that warranty cases are honoured by them in case of any field issues
- Ensure weekly customer issue reviews so that any issues related to TML Aggregates are addressed in time to ensure customer satisfaction and also ensure warranty/goodwill expenses are minimized
- Achieving IPTA targets for Aggregate Parts
- Liaise with teams for logistics, facility readiness, aggregate roll out, BITS/ VLO issues tracking and resolution .
- Know-how of PLM, TCUA, SAP and TML standards.
- Know-how on EBOM, MBOM SAPBOM and be able to prepare the Powertrain integration BOM identifying the PMXU parts.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Education: Graduation in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical)
- Relevant Experience: 3-8 years’ experience in the domain of Engine Assembly
- Knowledge of TQM, Structured Problem Solving

- Hands on experience in handling SAP, PLM (TCUA) and P-first system preferred
- Knowledge of Engine machining, assembly and testing process, along with manufacturing processes like sheet metal fabrication, welding, painting etc.
