Senior Manager – Accounts

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manager – Accounts to manage the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, budgeting, and audit activities. Candidates with prior experience in a Media, Newspaper, Publishing, or Printing Company will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Handle GST, TDS, income tax, and other applicable statutory compliances and filings.
- Manage payroll accounting, employee-related statutory payments, and reconciliation with the HR department.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
- Coordinate internal audits, statutory audits, tax audits, and external auditors.
- Ensure timely vendor payments, customer collections, and reconciliation of outstanding balances.
- Monitor printing, publishing, newsprint, production, distribution, and other media-related expenses.




- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Support financial planning, cost control, and process improvements.
- Lead and guide the accounts team and coordinate with management, banks, auditors, and other departments.
- Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts and timely closure of monthly and annual accounts.

Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: ICWA / CMA Inter / CA Inter / Chartered Accountant (CA).
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
- Prior experience in a Media / Newspaper / Publishing / Printing Company is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax, auditing, taxation, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and team handling.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, accounting software, and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
