Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Lead Engineer to shoulder complete responsibility of integration for Powertrain Components and Exhaust System Aggregates as per the customer specific requirements. You will act as a primary technical bridge between OEM customers and internal R&D.;

You will lead an agile team of Engineers to enable delivery of world class product to match customer requirements. You will engage with customer technical teams, steer product requirement discussions and resolve integration challenges in real time. You will also drive cross-functional alignment to translate customer needs into accurate engineering specifications.

Crucially, you will own the complete process for having alignment with customers for the product specifications, Performance Targets and Attributes, Boundary conditions, Technical RASIC, DVP agreement and closures, sign off with customer for product release. By meticulously managing these deliverables, you will bridge the gap between engineering concepts and formal production approval, ensuring all requirements are validated on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Customer Requirement Capture: Lead technical interactions with OEM engineering teams to gather system-level requirements. Translate complex customer specifications into clear engineering and product development requirements and targets.
- Application Feasibility Studies: Evaluate mechanical, thermal, packaging, and structural feasibility of exhaust systems and powertrain components within OEM vehicle platforms using engineering analyses and field inputs.
- Customization & Configuration: Adapt core product architectures and baseline designs to specific customer vehicle platforms, ensuring system performance, compliance, and integration targets are met.




- Technical Proposals & BOM Development: Direct the creation of technical proposals, architecture definitions, and detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) for RFQs/RFIs in alignment with commercial and product management teams.
- Technology Alignment with OEM: Drive technical alignment sessions with OEM customers to pitch advanced technology roadmaps, present system performance trade-offs, and secure technical sign-off.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with CAD design, validation, testing, manufacturing, and program management teams to ensure seamless product execution from concept to SOP.
- Technology Roadmap & Innovation: Benchmark and map technology progression in future, prepare a proposal Technology Road Map for our products, Create IPRs for the product innovations.
- System Validation and Series release sign offs: Complete the bench level validations as required by the DVP (Internal) . Collaborate with OEM to complete the System level validations as per DVP agreed. Complete the part-level analysis of post validations. Generate closure reports and obtain sign off from OEM before going ahead for series release.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

- Education: Bachelors or master's degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 10 to 15 years of core application engineering or product development experience, specifically focused on exhaust systems, emissions control aggregates and powertrain components. Should have led a team of engineers for at least 5 years
- Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in exhaust architecture, thermal management, structural packaging, and powertrain integration. Practical on hands experience required in terms of product validations, Calibration techniques for Exhaust systems.
- Customer Interface: Proven track record of managing technical interfaces with global/domestic automotive OEMs.
- Systems & Tools Expertise: Hands-on understanding of automotive BOM structures, RFQ processes, GD&T;, and application feasibility validation protocols.
