Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Apache Kafka. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently setting up development environments, troubleshooting technical issues, developing features end to end, and supporting application deployments across SIT and UAT environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.

- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.

- Work with Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, offsets, error handling, and asynchronous messaging.

- Independently configure and troubleshoot local development environments, including project dependencies, application configurations, environment variables, and build issues.

- Analyze existing codebases, understand technical requirements and flowcharts, and initiate feature development with minimal supervision.

- Debug application issues, identify root causes, and resolve build, runtime, integration, and configuration-related problems.

- Understand and support application deployments across SIT and UAT environments, including deployment procedures, configuration changes, troubleshooting, and validation.

- Collaborate with Tech Leads, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth development, testing, and release activities.

- Write clean, maintainable, reusable code and conduct unit and integration testing.

- Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL-based data access and ORM frameworks.

- Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, technical discussions,



and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver features within agreed timelines.

Mandatory Skills

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.

- Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP concepts, Collections, Multithreading, Exception Handling, and Java 8 or later.

- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices.

- Practical experience with Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, topics, partitions, offsets, and error handling.

- Experience in developing and integrating RESTful APIs.

- Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.

- Experience with Hibernate/JPA and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.

- Ability to independently set up, run, and troubleshoot applications in a local development environment.

- Strong debugging, log analysis, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.

- Working knowledge of application deployment processes and SIT/UAT environments.

- Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, JUnit, and Mockito.

- Ability to understand technical documentation, flowcharts, and existing application logic and translate them into working code.

- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of development tasks and deliver with limited day-to-day guidance.

Valuable-to-Have Skills

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools.

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure.

- Knowledge of Redis, MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases.

- Understanding of Kafka retry mechanisms, dead-letter topics, message ordering, and delivery guarantees.

- Experience with application monitoring, performance optimization, and production support.

- Familiarity with automated build and deployment workflows.
