About the Role

Nxtjob.ai is building India's only Job Guaranteed Ecosystem on a stack that's AI-native from the ground up.

As an SDE-2 / Senior Developer, you don't just implement features — you design the components and own the engineering decisions the rest of the team builds on. You will also help junior engineers level up along the way.

What You'll Own

Own the Full Stack

- Own features end-to-end across UI, API, and database.
- Take features through the complete lifecycle: design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate directly with product and design to shape features, not just implement specifications.

Design Before You Build

- Work on component and system design before writing code.
- Make sound decisions around synchronous vs. asynchronous flows.
- Understand and apply concepts such as coupling, state ownership, and idempotency.
- Clearly communicate architecture decisions and reasoning.

Raise the Bar Around You

- Independently resolve production issues.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pairing.
- Help establish repeatable engineering practices and processes.

Ship With Rigor





- Follow strong engineering practices including code review, testing, and CI.
- Build production-ready software.
- Use AI coding tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar as part of your daily workflow.
- Contribute to maturing AI usage across the development lifecycle (AI-DLC).

What You Bring

- 2+ years of professional experience building full-stack web applications.
- Robust hands-on TypeScript experience across both frontend and backend.
- Experience with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and Redux.
- Backend experience with Node.js, MySQL, and an ORM such as Drizzle or similar.
- Experience with component design and a working understanding of core design patterns.
- Practical understanding of synchronous vs. asynchronous flows, idempotency, and state ownership.
- Comfortable participating in code reviews and design discussions.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
