Job Summary

Job Summary : Cisco Asset Manager Job Responsibilities : IT Asset Management — The candidate will be responsible for development and maintenance of best practice standards, processes, systems and measurements that enable the organization to manage the IT asset portfolio with respect to risk, cost, control, IT governance, compliance and business performance objectives.

- Develops and implements Asset Management standards, policies and procedures.
- Plans the population of the Asset Management central libraries, tools and data.

Ensures

Asset data is current and accurate.
- Understands best practices and determines optimized procedures for updating Asset data including the use of automated processes and manual input processes as necessary.
- Develops and implements best practice standards, policies and procedures for planning, recording, monitoring and maintenance of hardware assets.
- Defines success metrics and monitoring of Asset Management processes.
- Generates reporting for IT Assets as per requirements.
- Provides coaching and conducts training for Asset Management to ensure appropriate understanding of Asset Management system and its relationship to Change Management and other key IT processes.
- Collaborates with other IT process owners and functional areas (e.g.

Change

Management, Problem Management, Release Management, etc.) • Evaluates industry innovations, maturity, trends,



and changes regularly to plan and recommend new technologies.
- Assists auditors to audit the activities of the Asset Management team for compliance with current procedures; ensures corrective action is carried out.
- Establishes and ensures staff comply with the naming conventions to be used to uniquely identify object types, environments, processes, lifecycles, documentation, versions, formats, baselines, releases, and templates.
- Creates an awareness campaign to win support for new Asset Management procedures; ensures that changes to the Asset Management methods and processes are properly approved and communicated to staff before being implemented; plans, publicizes and oversees implementation of new/updated Asset Management systems.

Skill Requirements

Skill Requirement : • Strong communication skills • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint are mandatory • Familiarity with Cisco and its products • Prior experience in asset management combined with knowledge of ITIL will be considered an added advantage • Experience Required 1 to 2 Years of relevant Experience

Other Requirements

Other Requirement : • Strong understanding of ITSM best-practice processes, with Asset Management experience • Hands-on experience with industry-standard Change, Asset Management system tools, being used in current scenario. • Experience leading technical functional discussions • Demonstrable understanding of the pressures and demands of working in a large and complex technical workplace
