Senior Developer Experience Engineer (Staff-Level IC) - Key Expectations

Experience – 8 to 13 years

This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role at a Senior/Staff Engineer level, requiring a strong combination of hands-on technical expertise, platform ownership, leadership through influence, and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate should be able to drive platform initiatives, partner with engineering teams globally, influence technical decisions, and champion developer productivity without direct people management responsibilities.

Key Skills Required

· Backstage & Developer Portal Engineering – Designing and managing developer portals, service catalogs, templates, and self-service workflows.

· Internal Developer Platform (IDP) – Building and scaling developer self-service platforms, golden paths, and developer enablement capabilities.

· GitOps & ArgoCD – Designing GitOps-based deployment models, application lifecycle management, and setting promotion strategies.

· Kubernetes & Cloud-Native Platforms – Hands-on expertise with AKS/EKS/GKE, container orchestration, platform operations, and scalability.

· Terraform & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)



– Building reusable modules, platform automation, environment governance, and infrastructure standardization.

· GitHub Actions / CI-CD Platform Engineering – Designing reusable workflows, deployment pipelines, platform governance, and software delivery automation.

Additional Expectations

· Strong Platform Engineering and Developer Experience (DevEx) mindset.

· Ability to operate as a Staff-level IC, leading through influence rather than direct people management.

· Experience driving platform adoption, standardization, and engineering best practices across multiple teams.

· Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

· Exceptional communication and articulation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both engineering and business stakeholders.

· Ability to lead architecture discussions, mentor engineers, and drive strategic platform initiatives.

Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹5,500,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Hyderabad, Telangana
