Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer with 10+ years of experience in machine manufacturing and mechanical design. The candidate should have solid knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, machine design, fabrication, machining, component selection, and assembly drawings. The role involves leading design activities, developing machine designs, reviewing technical drawings, and coordinating with production and other departments to ensure smooth manufacturing and assembly.

Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Design & Development

- Lead the design and development of industrial machines and mechanical systems.
- Prepare 3D models, 2D drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed component drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Design machine structures, fabricated parts, machined components, and mechanical assemblies.
- Ensure designs meet technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and manufacturing feasibility.

2. Engineering Drawings & Documentation

- Prepare and review engineering drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and technical documentation.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, fits, material specifications, and assembly requirements.
- Maintain drawing revisions and ensure proper documentation of design changes.
- Review designs for accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and ease of manufacturing.

3. Production & Manufacturing Coordination





- Coordinate with production, fabrication, machining, fitting, and assembly teams.
- Provide technical clarification and resolve design-related issues during manufacturing.
- Modify drawings and designs based on production requirements and customer specifications.
- Ensure designs are practical for fabrication, machining, and final machine assembly.

4. Team Leadership & Design Review

- Guide and support junior design engineers and drafting personnel.
- Review design outputs and ensure accuracy before releasing drawings for production.
- Allocate design tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Identify design errors and implement corrective actions.

5. Cost Optimization & Continuous Improvement

- Optimize machine designs to reduce manufacturing costs, material wastage, and assembly time.
- Identify opportunities to improve machine performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Support standardization of machine components and design practices.
- Incorporate design improvements based on production feedback and customer requirements.

6. Vendor & Customer Coordination

- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding component specifications and technical requirements.
- Support component selection, material finalization, and technical evaluation.




- Understand customer requirements and incorporate necessary modifications into machine designs.
- Provide technical support during machine installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting when required.

Required Skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in machine manufacturing.
- Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Excellent knowledge of 3D modelling, 2D detailing, assembly drawings, and BOM preparation.
- Experience in machine design, fabrication, machining, fitting, and assembly processes.
- Knowledge of engineering materials, tolerances, fits, bearings, shafts, motors, gearboxes, and other mechanical components.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and resolve design-related problems.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Candidates with experience in industrial machinery manufacturing will be preferred.
- Must be capable of independently handling machine design projects from concept to final assembly.
- Should have the ability to lead a design team and coordinate effectively with production and other departments.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
