About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Databricks, Snowflake, PySpark, and modern data engineering practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data platforms that support advanced analytics, business intelligence, and digital transformation initiatives. The role requires deep technical expertise in cloud-based data architectures, ETL/ELT frameworks, data warehousing, and large-scale data processing.

You will collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, analytics teams, and engineering groups to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions across Azure and Snowflake ecosystems.

What You'll Do:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks and PySpark.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for processing structured, semi-structured,



and unstructured data.
- Develop and manage Snowflake data warehouse solutions, including data modeling, transformation, and performance tuning.
- Create reusable frameworks for data ingestion, orchestration, validation, and transformation.
- Integrate data from multiple enterprise source systems into Azure Data Lake and Snowflake environments.
- Design and implement modern data lakehouse architecture solutions.
- Optimize data processing workloads for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement enterprise data quality, governance, monitoring, and security controls.
- Develop scalable data models and support business intelligence and analytics requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and analytics teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to data pipelines, integrations, and cloud platforms.
- Participate in architecture discussions and recommend data platform improvements.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce data engineering best practices.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for data engineering projects.
- Support cloud migration, modernization, and platform transformation initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and operational runbooks.
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical leadership initiatives within the team.

Expertise You'll Bring:

- 8–14 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Warehousing projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
- Proven expertise in Snowflake including data loading, transformation, optimization, clustering, and data sharing.
- Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
- Experience designing and implementing large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data architecture principles.
- Experience with Azure services including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Key Vault, Azure DevOps.




- Expertise in designing and implementing Lakehouse architectures.
- Experience processing large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
- Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
- Experience implementing enterprise security controls within cloud data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Git, branching strategies, and source control management.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data engineering solutions.
- Knowledge of performance tuning, workload optimization, and cloud cost management.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and operational support of enterprise data platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience leading technical discussions and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in Agile and Scrum delivery environments.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers while contributing to technical excellence.
