Omokai is building an AI-powered intelligence and orchestration layer for autonomous systems, including robots, drones, UAVs, UGVs, USVs, and distributed sensor networks.

Our mission is to make complex autonomous systems accessible through natural language, enabling humans to communicate with and coordinate fleets of intelligent machines as naturally as they communicate with other people.

Founded by the former Head of AI at Amazon, Omokai is a Germany-based AI startup developing intelligent, secure, and scalable autonomous systems. Our technology is designed with military-grade security principles and alignment with emerging global AI regulatory frameworks, including the EU AI Act.

Compensation & Equity

We offer a combination of fixed salary and potential company ownership.

- Monthly salary: Up to ₹50,000–₹60,000 for senior candidates, depending on skills and experience.
- Equity: Meaningful equity opportunities for exceptional candidates, potentially up to 1% for highly experienced senior engineers, subject to agreement and vesting terms.
- Founding-team opportunity: Early technical ownership and the chance to influence core architecture, engineering decisions, and the company's technology roadmap.
- International exposure: Work closely with a Germany-based company building AI technology for global markets.

What We're Looking For

Strong software engineering skills are essential.



Hands-on experience building and training AI models is highly valued.

Must-Have Skills:

- Excellent Python programming skills, with a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
- Strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and neural networks.
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar machine learning frameworks.
- Experience training, fine-tuning, evaluating, or deploying AI/ML models.
- Practical understanding of transformers, LLMs, embeddings, and modern generative AI techniques.
- Experience building backend services, APIs, and production-quality applications.
- Familiarity with Git, Linux, debugging, testing, and modern development workflows.
- Ability to independently solve complex problems and take ownership of engineering deliverables.
- Strong understanding of how to move AI systems from prototypes into real-world applications.

Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with reinforcement learning, imitation learning, or autonomous decision-making.
- Experience with computer vision, object detection, or multimodal AI.
- Familiarity with model optimization, quantization, distributed training, or GPU acceleration.
- Experience working with NVIDIA GPUs, CUDA, or high-performance inference systems.
- Knowledge of ROS 2, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Gazebo,



or robotics simulation environments.
- Understanding of UAVs, UGVs, autonomous navigation, or multi-robot coordination.
- Experience deploying models on NVIDIA Jetson or other edge computing platforms.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, or MLOps.
- Contributions to open-source AI projects, technical research, or production ML systems.

You don't need to know every framework. We value strong fundamentals, practical engineering ability, technical curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly. Location & Potential Germany Relocation The position is based in Nagpur, India , where you will work closely with the engineering team.

Omokai is headquartered in Germany, and the role offers exposure to an international startup environment.

For exceptional candidates who demonstrate strong technical ability and long-term commitment, there may be opportunities to relocate to Germany as the company grows , subject to business needs, mutual agreement, and applicable visa and immigration requirements.
