Job Overview The Senior Accountant will independently manage, control, and streamline the complete financial ecosystem of our Eye Nursing Home, including its integrated in-house pharmacy and optical retail outlet. This role spans from daily transaction execution to independent balance sheet finalization, taxation compliance, and robust inventory control using Tally Prime / ERP 9.

Comprehensive Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Independent Finalization (40%)

- Bookkeeping & Ledgers: Oversee and execute flawless entry of all financial transactions (receipts, payments, journal vouchers, debit/credit notes) in Tally.
- Balance Sheet Finalization: Independently prepare and finalize quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial statements, including Trial Balance, Profit & Loss (P&L;) Accounts, and Balance Sheets.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor daily cash inflows/outflows, maintain optimum working capital, and provide regular cash-flow projections to management.
- Reconciliations:

o Perform daily bank reconciliations across multiple bank accounts. o Reconcile POS terminal settlements, digital payment apps (UPI/GPay/PhonePe), and credit card payments against billing software data.
- Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the Fixed Asset Register for expensive ophthalmic medical equipment (e.g., OCT machines, Phaco systems, Lasers), factoring in accurate depreciation laws.

1. Pharmacy & Optical Inventory Management (20%)

- Stock Accounting: Set up and manage structured inventory groups, categories, and units of measure in Tally for pharmacy drugs and optical retail items (frames, lenses, contact lenses, accessories).




- Purchase & Vendor Management: Verify vendor invoices, track purchase orders, manage accounts payable, and negotiate payment cycles with pharmaceutical and optical distributors.
- Stock Audits: Coordinate and conduct physical monthly stock-taking cycles at the pharmacy and optical shop to identify, reconcile, and report variances, leakages, or expired medicines.
- Margin & Cost Control: Analyze product margins and cost of goods sold (COGS) to assist management in retail pricing strategies.

1. Hospital Billing, TPA, & Insurance Reconciliation (20%)

- Patient Billing Control: Cross-verify daily OPD consultation fees, diagnostic test billings, and IPD surgical package charges (e.g., Cataract surgery variations) for accuracy.
- TPA & Corporate Claims Tracking: Systematically log, track, and age accounts receivable from Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), Government health schemes, and private health insurance companies.
- Deduction Management: Track, isolate, and reconcile co-payments, disallowed claim amounts, and TDS deducted by insurance providers upon claim settlement.

1. Taxation, Statutory Compliance & Payroll (20%)

- GST Compliance:

o Calculate and file monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B). o Manage the complex differentiation between tax-exempt healthcare services and taxable retail sales (Pharmacy and Optical goods).

o Reconcile Input Tax Credit (ITC) via GSTR-2B regularly.

- TDS Compliance: Compute, deduct, and deposit monthly TDS (on salaries, professional fees to visiting doctors, contracts, and rent) and file quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q).
- Payroll & Doctor Payouts:

o Process monthly payroll for administrative, nursing, and support staff. o Ensure compliance with PF (Provident Fund) and ESIC regulations.

o Calculate complex variable fee splits and consultation payouts for visiting Ophthalmic consultants and surgeons.





- Statutory Audit Support: Liaise directly with the external Chartered Accountant (CA) firm, providing all necessary schedules, vouchers, and ledger clean-ups for smooth annual audits.

______________ Job Requirements & Qualifications:

Educational Qualifications

- Minimum: Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree with a stellar academic record.
- Preferred: Master of Commerce (M.Com), Inter-CA, Inter-ICWA, or an MBA in Finance.

Experience Requirements
- Total Experience: 3 to 6 years of continuous, hands-on core accounting experience.
- Industry Experience: Minimum 2 years of active experience working in a hospital, multi-specialty nursing home, or large medical retail set-up is highly preferred.

Technical & Software Skills
- Tally Mastery: Advanced, expert-level operations in Tally Prime or Tally ERP 9 is mandatory (specifically including inventory tracking and manufacturing/assembly features for optical custom orders).
- Microsoft Excel: High proficiency in MS Excel (Advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formatting for aging reports).
- Billing Software Integration: Prior exposure to Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS) or medical billing retail software is a massive plus.

- High Integrity: Extreme reliability in handling daily cash receipts and sensitive financial data.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to identify billing anomalies, pricing errors, or sudden shifts in operational expenses.
