Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations, project costing, financial reporting, and statutory compliance for a construction business. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Tally, GST, TDS, project-wise accounting, and financial management, along with the ability to supervise day-to-day accounts operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Costing & Accounting

- Maintain project-wise cost sheets and job costing records.
- Track and allocate material, labour, subcontractor, and overhead costs.
- Monitor project budgets against actual expenses and report variances.
- Maintain work-in-progress (WIP) accounts and project billing records.
- Coordinate with project managers and site teams for cost updates.
- Track retention amounts, advances, and project-related financial transactions.

2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Prepare and file GST returns, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
- Handle TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and quarterly returns.
- Ensure timely compliance with applicable statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants.
- Maintain tax records and ensure compliance with filing deadlines.

3. Financial Reporting & MIS

- Prepare monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
- Perform bank, vendor, and ledger reconciliations.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare MIS reports, project-wise profitability reports, and ageing statements.
- Support budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial forecasting.
- Assist in internal and statutory audits.

Accounts Operations & Team Coordination

- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor payments, and customer billing.
- Review accounting entries, vouchers, and supporting documents.
- Guide junior accountants and accounts assistants.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial documentation.
- Coordinate with procurement, HR, project teams, and management on finance-related matters.

Qualifications & Eligibility

- Education: B.Com is mandatory.
- Experience: 3–4 years of post-qualification experience in accounting.
- Industry: Construction industry experience is preferred.
- Software: Proficiency in Tally ERP / Tally Prime is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, project costing, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial MIS reporting.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.

M.Com, MBA Finance, or CA Inter qualification will be an added advantage.

What We Are Looking For A detail-oriented accounting professional with strong financial knowledge, a high level of accuracy, qualified integrity, and the ability to manage construction-related accounts and compliance efficiently. Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
