Travel Requirement: Extensive travel across multiple cities and last-mile operational locations across India.

Role Overview

DropX Logistics is seeking a proactive and analytical Security & Loss Prevention (SLP) Officer with relevant experience in Last Mile (LM) operations within the e-commerce or logistics industry.

The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and mitigating operational risks, preventing shipment losses, investigating suspected fraud and security incidents, conducting operational audits, and ensuring adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The role requires strong investigative capabilities, analytical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen internal controls, improve operational compliance, and minimize financial and inventory losses across the last-mile network.

Candidates with hands-on experience in SLP, Asset Protection, Risk Management, or Loss Prevention within established e-commerce and logistics organizations are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Audits & Compliance

- Conduct scheduled and surprise audits across last-mile hubs, delivery stations, and other operational locations.
- Assess compliance with operational SOPs, shipment handling procedures, security protocols, and internal control standards.
- Identify process deviations, control gaps, and operational vulnerabilities, and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
- Monitor compliance with shipment handover, delivery, return, and reconciliation processes.

Loss Prevention & Risk Management

- Monitor shipment movement and delivery operations to identify potential losses, pilferage, theft, and irregularities.
- Analyse shipment discrepancies,



missing shipments, delivery exceptions, and Return to Origin (RTO) patterns to identify potential risk indicators.
- Develop and implement preventive measures to reduce shipment losses, financial exposure, and operational risks.
- Evaluate existing security controls and recommend improvements to strengthen accountability across the last-mile network.

Investigation & Fraud Detection

- Investigate suspected fraud, shipment theft, pilferage, false delivery confirmations, and other operational irregularities.
- Review CCTV footage, system logs, delivery records, shipment manifests, and incident reports to establish facts and identify accountability.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for significant loss incidents and recurring operational discrepancies.
- Document investigation findings, identify responsible process gaps, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely investigation and closure of reported incidents.

Shipment Reconciliation & Data Analysis

- Conduct physical shipment verification and reconcile actual shipment movement against system records.
- Analyse shipment discrepancies, undelivered shipments, RTO transactions, and other relevant operational data.
- Identify recurring loss patterns, abnormal transaction trends, and potential instances of process manipulation.
- Track loss-related metrics and prepare periodic reports highlighting risk areas, findings, and improvement opportunities.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

- Collaborate with Operations, Hub Managers, Delivery Teams, HR, and senior management to address security and compliance issues.
- Conduct awareness sessions and provide guidance on shipment security, fraud prevention, and operational compliance.
- Prepare audit reports, investigation summaries, RCA documentation, and management dashboards.
- Track corrective and preventive action plans and ensure timely implementation and closure.




- Provide regular updates to management on significant incidents, emerging risks, and loss prevention initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Security & Loss Prevention, Asset Protection, Risk Control, or Loss Prevention within the e-commerce or logistics industry.
- Prior experience in Last Mile (LM) operations is strongly preferred , with practical exposure to shipment handling, delivery processes, reconciliation, and operational controls.
- Strong understanding of shipment lifecycle management, delivery exceptions, RTO processes, and shipment reconciliation.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting operational audits, investigating discrepancies, detecting fraud, and implementing loss prevention measures.
- Proficiency in data analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and preparation of audit and investigation reports.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and operational reporting tools.
- Professional proficiency in English and conversational proficiency in Hindi.
- Strong analytical, investigative, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High levels of integrity, attention to detail, accountability, and qualified judgment.
- Willingness to travel extensively across operational locations in India.
