About the Company

We are an omnichannel customer engagement platform that helps businesses run campaigns, automations and AI-powered agents across WhatsApp, Instagram, Email, SMS, RCS and Voice from a single platform.

More than 1,200 businesses use our platform, including leading companies across banking, automotive and telecommunications. We are backed by prominent venture investors and are building the next generation of customer engagement infrastructure.

The Role

You will own quality across the platform. Today, testing is largely handled manually by engineering and product teams. Your role will be to build the automation, regression coverage and release processes that allow us to ship every week without disrupting the workflows our customers rely on.

This is a hands-on engineering role, not a test-case execution position. You will write code, review product requirements before development begins and use strong product judgment to distinguish high-impact customer issues from lower-priority defects.

What You Will DoBuild Test Automation

- Design and develop end-to-end, API and integration test automation for the web platform.
- Establish the automation framework and testing foundations where required.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline so that pull requests and releases are validated automatically.
- Ensure that critical test failures block releases when necessary.
- Keep the test suite fast, reliable and maintainable.
- Identify and eliminate flaky tests rather than allowing them to become accepted failures.

Own Regression and Releases
- Build and maintain regression coverage for critical customer workflows, including:
- Campaign creation and sending.
- Workflow automations.
- Team inbox functionality.
- Shopify,

CRM and Meta integrations.
- AI agents and voice bots.
- Lead release sign-off by documenting:
- What was tested.
- What was not tested.
- Known risks.
- Any release-blocking issues.
- Track escaped defects, identify why they were missed and improve the test suite to prevent recurrence.

Improve Quality Before Development
- Review product requirements and convert them into test plans and acceptance criteria before implementation begins.
- Partner with product managers to identify edge cases and customer-impacting scenarios early.
- Work closely with engineers to improve testability through:
- Reliable test data.
- Suitable test environments.
- Feature flags.
- Mocks and stubs for third-party APIs.
- Help establish quality practices across the engineering and product teams.

Test AI-Powered Features
- Develop evaluation strategies and regression checks for LLM-powered features such as AI agents and voice bots.
- Design test approaches for systems where identical inputs may produce different outputs.
- Help define evaluation datasets, quality criteria and acceptable behavior for AI features.

Use AI to Improve Productivity
- Use AI-powered coding and testing tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or similar tools.
- Apply these tools to generate, maintain, debug and review test code more efficiently.

- Use AI responsibly while maintaining strong engineering standards and test quality.

What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in QA automation, test engineering or SDET roles.
- Experience working at a product company where you owned and developed automation, rather than only executing test cases.
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript or Python.
- Hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
- Experience with API testing tools and frameworks such as Postman, REST Assured, Supertest or similar.
- Practical experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.
- A clear approach to regression testing, including:
- Prioritizing what to automate first.
- Deciding what belongs in the regression suite.
- Identifying what should remain manual.
- Strong product judgment and the ability to think from the customer’s perspective.
- Clear written communication and the ability to write actionable bug reports that engineers can understand without additional explanation.

Good to Have
- Experience testing B2B SaaS products, messaging platforms or products that depend on third-party APIs.
- Familiarity with platforms and integrations such as WhatsApp Business, Meta, Shopify or CRM systems.
- Experience with performance or load testing tools such as k6 or JMeter.
- Exposure to testing LLM-powered features or building AI evaluation datasets.
- Experience testing omnichannel communication, workflow automation or customer engagement products.
