SAP Solution Architect The Solution Architect designs the overarching end-to-end business capabilities across the retail domain, orchestrating processes that span multiple modules in the planned SAP S/4 system.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Blueprinting & Architecture: Define, design, and maintain the global SAP target architecture. Ensure end-to-end process integration across critical business cycles, including Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Record-to-Report (R2R).
- Cross-Module Integration: Drive architectural alignment and seamless data flow between core modules, specifically SAP FI/CO, SD, ensuring zero siloed workflows.
- Technology Modernization: Lead the architectural strategy for legacy ERP migration to SAP S/4HANA, optimizing the use of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) for cloud-native extensions.
- Stakeholder Advisory: Partner closely with executive business leaders, business analysts, and functional leads to translate complex business objectives into scalable, sustainable SAP solutions.
- Governance & Standards: Establish and enforce SAP development best practices, data governance frameworks, and clean-core principles to minimize custom ABAP technical debt.
- Vendor & Partner Orchestration:
Collaborate with external system integrators, SAP professionals, and third-party vendors during large-scale deployment, testing, and hyper-care phases.
- Architectural Orchestration: Lead, mentor, and govern a team of dedicated SAP Solution Architects and/or Subject Matter Experts (System Engineers) across specialized domains (such as SD, FI/CO).
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the ultimate escalation point and referee for cross-module integration disputes, ensuring that a decision made by the FI architect does not negatively impact the workflows of the SD architects.
Functional & Technical Scope You will be expected to architect solutions that natively integrate the following domains:
- Finance & Controlling (FI/CO): Recent General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Cost Center Accounting, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA).
- Supply Chain & Logistics (SD): Inventory Management, Purchasing, Pricing Procedures, Logistics Execution, Delivery, and Billing.
- Technical Foundation: SAP Basis, ABAP extensibility optimization, SAP Security/GRC, and API-led integration via SAP BTP.
