: SAP MDG Consultant Material Master (2–3 Years)

Location: Delhi/WFO

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled SAP MDG Consultant (Material Master) with 2–3 years of experience in SAP MDG and strong knowledge of Material Master data processes. The candidate will be responsible for supporting master data governance processes, handling change requests and ensuring high-quality material master data across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

- Work as an SAP MDG functional consultant focusing on Material Master domain (MDG-M)
- Handle SAP Material Master Data Governance processes including:
- Material creation, extension, and change requests
- Data validation and approval workflows
- Configure and support MDG data models, UI configuration, and process workflows
- Work on BRF+ rules and validations for master data quality checks
- Participate in Change Request (CR) lifecycle including creation, approval, and activation
- Support Data Replication Framework (DRF) and integration with downstream systems
- Perform data analysis, cleansing, and harmonization activities
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and provide solutions
- Prepare functional specifications for enhancements and support developments
- Handle incident management, defect resolution, and user queries
- Support testing activities (Unit Testing, UAT)



and ensure quality deliverables
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (MM, S/4HANA, integration teams)

Required Skills & Expertise

Primary Skills

- Strong knowledge of SAP MDG (Material Master)
- Familiarity with MDG Web PORTAL (UI)
- Good understanding of Material Master (MM) concepts:
- Material types, views, numbering

- Plant/storage location extensions

- Classification and hierarchy
- Knowledge of MDG Data Modeling, UI Modeling, and Process Modeling
- Experience with BRF+ rules and workflow configuration
- Understanding of Change Request process and governance workflows

Secondary / Nice-to-Have Skills

- Knowledge of DRF (Data Replication Framework)
- Basic understanding of ABAP enhancements / BADIs
- Experience in integration with ECC or other systems
- Familiarity with MDG Web PORTAL

Experience & Qualification

- 2–3 years of experience in SAP MDG (Material Master preferred)
- At least 1 implementation or support project in MDG
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / IT / related field

Soft Skills

- Good analytical and problem-solving ability
- Strong communication and stakeholder handling skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced project setting
- Team collaboration and ownership mindset

Key Differentiators (Preferred)

- Hands-on experience with MDG workflows and validations
- Exposure to end-to-end MDG lifecycle (CR Approval Activation Replication)
- Knowledge of data quality and governance best practices
