SAP FI Consultant (8+ Years Experience)

Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced SAP FI Consultant with a minimum of 8+ years of hands on experience in SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling modules. The ideal candidate must have been working with a top IT company for the past 5 years and possess a strong accounting and finance background, preferably as a Chartered Accountant. The consultant will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP FI components including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting, Banking, and Taxation.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead SAP FI implementations and support projects ensuring timely delivery and quality.
- Configure and maintain SAP FI modules: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting, Banking, and Taxation.
- Design and implement financial processes aligned with business requirements and statutory compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including CO, MM, SD for integrated solutions.
- Perform system upgrades, enhancements, and support period-end closing activities.
- Provide expert guidance on financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit requirements.
- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and prepare documentation for end-users.




- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to SAP FI modules and integrations.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in SAP FI module implementation and support.
- Must have worked with a top IT company for at least 5 years.
- Robust accounting and finance background; Chartered Accountant preferred.
- Expertise in SAP FI components: GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Banking, and Taxation.
- Hands-on experience in configuring financial processes and integration with other SAP modules.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead projects and mentor junior consultants.

Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance.
- Exposure to SAP FSCM (Financial Supply Chain Management).
- Knowledge of international tax and multi-country implementations.

- Successful implementation and configuration of SAP FI modules within agreed timelines.
- Zero critical defects during UAT and post-go-live.
- Compliance with statutory and tax regulations.
- Timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.
- High user satisfaction through training and support.
