Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP EWM Technical Consultant for a remote contract engagement. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SAP ABAP development with hands-on experience in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), including 2–3 end-to-end implementation projects.

The consultant will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting custom ABAP solutions for SAP EWM, collaborating with functional consultants, and delivering technical solutions aligned with warehouse business processes and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain custom ABAP programs and enhancements for SAP EWM.
- Work closely with SAP EWM functional consultants to understand business requirements and prepare technical specifications.
- Develop and enhance reports, interfaces, forms, user exits, BADIs, BAPIs, and enhancement implementations.
- Implement custom logic for warehouse processes, including inbound processing, outbound processing, warehouse tasks, warehouse orders, and inventory management.
- Develop and troubleshoot EWM-related interfaces and integrations with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP, and other systems.
- Work on SAP EWM-specific enhancements, function modules, classes, methods, and custom objects.
- Debug standard SAP EWM processes and custom developments to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Optimize ABAP code performance and ensure adherence to SAP development standards.
- Support unit testing,



integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, and deployment activities.
- Prepare technical design documents, test scenarios, and other project documentation.
- Provide technical support during implementation, cutover, hypercare, and post-go-live activities.

Mandatory Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Proven experience working on SAP EWM technical developments.
- Experience in ABAP Objects, Reports, ALV, Function Modules, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancements.
- Knowledge of SAP EWM warehouse processes and related technical objects.
- Experience with debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting complex ABAP programs.
- Experience with SAP EWM integration with SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with functional and technical teams.
- Experience in 2–3 end-to-end SAP EWM implementation projects .

Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM or Decentralized EWM.
- Knowledge of IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, proxy interfaces, and other integration technologies.
- Experience with OData services, CDS Views, and modern ABAP development.
- Exposure to warehouse RF processes, handling units (HUs), warehouse tasks, and warehouse orders.
- Experience with SAP EWM enhancements and custom logic for inbound and outbound delivery processing.
- Familiarity with SAP transport management and project delivery methodologies.

Candidate Requirements
- Relevant SAP ABAP EWM technical experience.
- Demonstrated contribution to 2–3 end-to-end SAP EWM implementations.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote project workplace.
- Availability to join a contract-based engagement.
