Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Sample Coordinator to manage the complete footwear sampling process. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with the design, merchandising, pattern-making, production, and quality departments to ensure that footwear samples are developed and delivered on time according to customer requirements.

The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of footwear manufacturing, sample development, materials, components, and production processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the complete footwear sampling process from initial development to final sample approval.
- Receive and review sample requests, design specifications, and technical details from the merchandising and design teams.
- Coordinate with pattern makers, cutters, stitchers, lasting, finishing, and other sampling team members.
- Ensure samples are developed according to customer specifications, approved designs, materials, colours, and size requirements.
- Follow up on sample development at every stage and ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with the design and merchandising teams regarding sample corrections and customer feedback.
- Maintain sample status reports, sample registers, and development records.
- Track sample deadlines and ensure timely submission to customers or the merchandising department.
- Arrange and verify the availability of required materials, soles, uppers, accessories, and other footwear components.
- Identify sampling delays and coordinate with the concerned departments to resolve issues.
- Ensure sample quality, fitting,



finishing, and overall appearance meet the required standards.
- Maintain records of approved samples, rejected samples, revised samples, and pending developments.
- Coordinate with the production and quality teams to ensure approved samples can be developed for bulk production.
- Prepare daily and weekly sample development reports for management.
- Ensure proper identification, labelling, and storage of footwear samples.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of footwear manufacturing and sampling processes.
- Understanding of footwear materials, components, patterns, stitching, lasting, and finishing.
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple sample developments simultaneously.
- Knowledge of MS Excel for sample tracking and reporting.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of footwear design sheets and technical specifications will be an advantage.

Educational Qualification Diploma or degree in Footwear Technology, Footwear Design, Fashion Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Experience Required

2–5 years of experience in footwear sampling, product development, or sample coordination.

Candidates with experience in footwear manufacturing companies will be preferred.
