Position : Senior Salesforce DevOps Engineer

Job Type: Fulltime

Location: Hyderabad / Chennai / Pune / Mumbai / Noida / Bangalore (2-days Hybrid)

Shift Time: Comfortable to work from 3pm to 1am IST

Role: Senior Salesforce DevOps Engineer

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Copado CI/CD (Metadata Pipeline or Source Format Pipeline)
- Solid understanding of the Salesforce metadata model and deployment concepts (change sets, metadata API, SFDX source format)
- Experience managing Git branching strategies and resolving merge conflicts in a Salesforce DevOps context
- Familiarity with Copado user stories, promotions, environments, credentials, and pipeline connections
- Ability to read and interpret Copado Job Execution logs and Salesforce deployment error messages
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with stakeholders ranging from developers to senior leadership
- Experience with Apex test execution, code coverage reporting, and understanding of test level options in Salesforce deployments
- Demonstrated ability to manage time-sensitive release cycles with multiple concurrent workstreams

Nice to Have

- Copado Developer or Admin certification
- Salesforce Administrator or Platform Developer I certification
- Familiarity with Copado Robotic Testing (CRT) for coordinating automated test execution as part of the pipeline
- Experience with Copado CLI for command-line driven commit and deployment operations
- Knowledge of connection behaviors and pipeline automation configuration





Key ResponsibilitiesPipeline Operations & Deployment Execution

- Own the day-to-day operation of the Copado CI/CD pipeline, including managing promotions, deployments, and back-promotions across all environments (devSAP devINT VAL Production)
- Execute and monitor deployment jobs within Copado, triaging failures and coordinating resolutions with developers in real time
- Responsible for all deployments to the Validation (Val) Sandbox, ensuring every deployment is executed accurately, on schedule, and in full compliance with release standards
- Manage validation deployments and full deployments, ensuring the correct test levels are applied and Apex code coverage thresholds are met
- Monitor Job Execution logs and pipeline health dashboards, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks before they impact release schedules
- Manage connection behaviors and pipeline flow configurations to ensure continuous delivery operates as expected

Two-Week Production Release Cycle Ownership

- Own all deployment aspects of the organization's two-week production release cycle, serving as the primary driver of release execution from pipeline readiness through to production go-live
- Partner with developers to identify and resolve production validation issues that arise during the release cycle,



ensuring all blockers are addressed before the release window closes
- Lead the resolution of Apex test class failures and code coverage issues, working directly with developers to diagnose root causes, coordinate fixes, and re-validate deployments
- Serve as the central communication hub for release scope management, proactively identifying user stories at risk and coordinating with the Release Manager, Project Owner, and development team on any stories that need to be removed from or deferred out of the release
- Maintain a explicit and up-to-date view of release readiness at all times, escalating risks early and ensuring all stakeholders have accurate, timely information

Developer Support & Collaboration

- Serve as the first point of contact for developers experiencing issues with commits, merges, branch conflicts, or deployment failures in Copado
- Guide developers on user story management best practices within Copado, including proper metadata selection, commit hygiene, and user story status management
- Assist developers with metadata commits using Copado's commit grid or CLI
- Facilitate merge conflict resolution and feature branch management, working directly with developers to unblock their work
- Communicate deployment windows, pipeline status, and any blockers clearly and promptly to the development team

Additional Responsibility (visible portion)

- Support problem-solving and maintaining the health and reliability of the Copado CI/CD pipeline.
