Salesforce Education Cloud Developer

We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Salesforce Education Cloud Developer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise Salesforce ecosystem. In this role, you will architect solutions that streamline the student lifecyclespanning recruitment, admissions, student success, academic operations, and alumni engagement. You will bridge the gap between technical capabilities and institutional objectives, working closely with academic and administrative stakeholders to drive digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

- Solution Design &
- Implementation:

Plan, gather requirements, design, build, test, document, and deploy Education Cloud solutions.

- Design, configure, and maintain Salesforce Education Cloud modules, utilizing standard objects, OmniStudio, Salesforce Scheduler, and advanced Flow automation.

- Business Analysis: Translate higher-education business processes (admissions, enrollment, advising, financial aid, advancement) into technical Salesforce configurations. Translate operational problems into technical requirements, and deliver user-centric solutions.

- Custom Development &

- Automation:

Write Apex code, flows, and custom Lightning components, and configure tools like Salesforce Scheduler.

- Integration &

- Data Management:

Architect data pipelines and API integrations between Salesforce and institutional systems, including the Student Information System (SIS), Learning Management System (LMS), and external marketing tools.

- Platform Governance &

- Security:

Maintain strict compliance with data privacy policies (such as FERPA), configure robust sharing models, role hierarchies, and permission sets,



and manage regular sandbox deployments.

- Change Management &

- Training:

Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), author technical and user documentation, and facilitate hands-on training sessions to maximize campus-wide platform adoption.

Required Qualifications &

- Experience

- 5+ years of customization experience on Apex and LWC, including a proven track record of successful implementations within a higher education environment.

- In-depth expertise in Salesforce Education Cloud, EDA (Education Data Architecture), or HEDA, along with advanced knowledge of Salesforce Flows and declarative automation.

- Proficient in modern Education Cloud components, including OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, and FlexCards to build agile student and faculty interfaces.

- Experience of managing data migrations with ETL utilities (e.g., MuleSoft, Data Loader) and integration paradigms (REST/SOAP, OAuth 2.0).

- Strong communication, consulting, and stakeholder-management skills.

- Sound understanding of the Education Data Architecture (EDA) object model, the Trigger Framework (TDTM), and the new-gen Education Cloud model (such as Person Accounts, Academic Terms, Course Offerings, and Program Enrolments).

- Platform Engines: Integration experience of specialized Education Cloud features like Salesforce Scheduler, Expression Sets (for automated admissions scoring/financial rules), and Action Plans.

- DevOps &
- Governance:

Experience on environment health, such as sandbox lifecycle management, CI/CD pipelines (SFDX, GitHub Actions), and solving complex Governor Limits issues (e.g., CPU timeouts, row locks).
