Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer to ensure a safe working environment at our Solar/Renewable Energy project. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies at the project/site.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with safety rules, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct Toolbox Talks, safety training, and awareness programs for workers.
- Monitor the proper use of PPE such as helmets, safety shoes, harnesses, gloves, etc.
- Prepare and maintain safety reports, inspection records, incident reports, and documentation.
- Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor safety practices related to working at height, electrical work, lifting activities, excavation, and other site operations.
- Coordinate with project/site teams to ensure timely closure of safety observations.




- Conduct emergency preparedness and fire & evacuation drills.
- Ensure contractors and workers follow required safety standards.

Qualification

- Diploma / Degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
- Relevant certification in Industrial Safety / NEBOSH / IOSH will be an advantage.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in Solar, Renewable Energy, EPC, or Construction projects.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of HSE/Safety procedures and site safety practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle workers and contractors effectively.
- Robust observation and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of PPE, risk assessment, permit-to-work systems, and emergency procedures.
