Role Description The Robotic SME | K-12 Education role at STEM Lab India is a full-time, on-site position based in Dehradun. The role involves designing and delivering robotics and automation lessons for K-12 learners, including developing age-appropriate lab activities, projects, and demonstrations. Daily responsibilities include conducting classroom and lab sessions, mentoring students on robotics projects, maintaining and troubleshooting lab equipment, and ensuring safe usage of tools and components.

The Robotic SME collaborates with school staff to integrate STEM and robotics into the existing curriculum, supports workshops and competitions, and contributes to curriculum development and continuous improvement. The role also includes documenting learning outcomes,



preparing instructional materials, and engaging with parents and educators to highlight student progress and innovation.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in robotics and robot systems, with practical experience in K-12 or beginner-level education environments.
- Hands-on experience in automation and process automation, including designing simple automated systems and explaining concepts to school students.
- Knowledge of mechatronics, integrating mechanical, electronic, and control components in educational projects and demonstrations.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences for diverse learners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, STEM Education, or a related field; advanced certifications in robotics or automation are an advantage.
- Experience teaching or facilitating workshops for K-12 learners, preferably in STEM labs, schools, or learning centers.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to manage classrooms and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Comfort with basic programming for robotics platforms (e.g., Arduino, Scratch, block-based coding or similar tools) is highly beneficial.
- Ability to collaborate with educators, adapt to school schedules, and contribute to curriculum planning and improvement.
