- Journal entries and ledger maintenance
- Petty cash management

2. Accounts Receivable (AR) – Collections Focus FMCG businesses rely heavily on distributors and retailers, so:

- Track outstanding payments from distributors/clients
- Follow up for collections and ensure timely payments
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing issues
- Monitor credit limits and overdue balances

3. Accounts Payable (AP) – Vendor Management

- Process vendor invoices and verify with purchase orders
- Ensure timely payments to suppliers
- Maintain vendor ledgers and resolve discrepancies
- Handle debit/credit notes

4. GST & Tax Compliance (India-specific)

- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B)
- Reconcile input/output GST
- Ensure proper documentation for tax compliance
- Assist in audits and tax assessments

- Perform regular bank reconciliation statements (BRS)
- Identify and resolve mismatches between bank and books
