What You'll Teach
Depending on the student's grade, curriculum and learning requirements, you may teach:

- Global studies and international relations
- Environmental and social issues
- Current affairs and contemporary issues
- Research, source analysis and evidence-based reasoning
What You'll Do As a Ruvimo Social Sciences Tutor, you will:
- Conduct engaging 1:1 online Social Sciences sessions with middle and high school students in the US.
- Help students understand historical, political, economic and social concepts beyond rote memorization.
- Connect classroom concepts to real-world events and contemporary issues .
- Teach students to analyze primary and secondary sources, maps, graphs, charts and other forms of evidence .
- Help students understand different perspectives and develop well-supported arguments.
- Guide students in writing evidence-based answers, essays and research assignments .
- Develop students' critical thinking, reasoning and analytical skills.
- Encourage students to ask questions, challenge assumptions and consider multiple perspectives.
- Support students with schoolwork, projects, assessments and exam preparation.
- Adapt lessons to the student's grade, curriculum,
learning gaps and academic goals.
- Provide constructive feedback and track student progress.
Who We're Looking For You could be a great fit if you:
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Sciences, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Education or a related field .
- Have prior experience teaching or tutoring middle or high school students .
- Have strong conceptual knowledge across one or more Social Science disciplines.
- Can explain complex social, political, historical and economic concepts clearly.
- Are comfortable working with evidence, sources, data and arguments .
- Have excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Can encourage students to think critically rather than simply memorize information.
- Have experience with the US curriculum or similar academic frameworks , or are willing to learn.
- Are comfortable teaching through digital platforms.
- Have a reliable internet connection and a professional setup for online teaching.
