Your working environment

You will join the IP & Technology Intelligence Group within Saft’s Research Department and will report to the Competitive & technology Intelligence manager within the Research department and the Intellectual Property team.

The team supports innovation and strategic decision‑making by delivering insights, digital tools, improved methodologies and patent‑based intelligence.

This role is part of the development of Saft’s Technology Intelligence activities in India.

About the Role

Join our Cell Development Chemistry team and contribute to the development of next-generation lithium-ion battery technologies.

As an R&D; Strategic Materials Junior Engineer, you will support innovative projects focused on strategic materials and battery chemistry.



Working alongside experienced scientists and engineers, you will participate in laboratory activities, conduct experiments, and help advance new energy storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Support internal and external R&D; projects related to strategic materials.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and technical testing on lithium-ion battery chemistries.
- Assist with the operation, maintenance, and optimization of laboratory equipment.
- Analyze experimental data and prepare clear technical reports.
- Present results and recommendations to project teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory practices and research activities.
- Participate in team meetings, project reviews, and technical presentations.

What We're Looking For

Education

- Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrochemistry, or a related field.

Experience
- Around 2 years of experience in an R&D;, laboratory, or materials development environment is preferred.
