We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Supervisor for our QA/QC department.

Job Overview The QC Supervisor will oversee daily quality control operations spanning both the pipe extrusion lines and the fitting injection molding facility. This critical role ensures that all incoming raw materials, in-process production batches, and final packaged products strictly comply with national and international quality standards (e.g., IS, ISO, DIN, ASTM).

Key Responsibilities

· Testing & Technical Inspection: Perform and supervise comprehensive testing on PPR/HDPE pipes and molded fittings, including Hydrostatic Pressure Tests, Melt Flow Index (MFI), Density, Tensile Strength, Heat Reversion (Oven Test), Impact Tests, and Fitting Dimensions/Thread Gauging.

· Molding & Extrusion Process Monitoring: Conduct regular shop-floor checks across extrusion and injection molding lines. Monitor critical parameters such as melt temperature, injection pressure, cooling cycle times, wall thickness, ovality, and structural weld lines in fittings to prevent aesthetic or structural defects.

· Raw Material Validation: Inspect incoming PPR/HDPE granules and additives. Verify physical and thermal properties against the supplier’s Certificate of Analysis (COA) to ensure zero batch contamination.

· Mold & Equipment Calibration: Manage maintenance and calibration schedules for lab testing equipment (Micrometers, Pressure Pumps, Digital Calipers, Weight Scales, Universal Testing Machines).



Periodically inspect molds for wear that could compromise fitting tolerances.

· Documentation & Non-Conformance: Maintain rigorous QA/QC logs, daily inspection sheets, and statistical process control (SPC) charts. Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) immediately for any failing batch, isolate rejected products, and drive root-cause analysis.

· Audit Readiness: Act as the primary technical point of contact during external, third-party, and regulatory quality audits (e.g., BIS / ISI marking, ISO certifications), ensuring flawless documentation and testing demonstrations.

Qualifications & Skills

· Education: ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Plastic Technology (CIPET), Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

· Experience: 0 to 2 years of hands-on experience in quality control within a plastic manufacturing plant, with specific exposure to both pipe extrusion and injection molded fittings (PPR & HDPE).

· Technical Knowledge: Deep knowledge of relevant product standards such as IS 4984 / ISO 4427 (HDPE Pipes), IS 15801 / ISO 15874 (PPR Pipes & Fittings), and specific standards governing molded plastic fittings.

· Defect Troubleshooting: Strong capability to diagnose molding defects (e.g., sink marks, flash, short shots, voiding) and extrusion defects.

· Software & Tools: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) for generating analytical reports, tracking metrics, and documenting quality charts.
