IT Infrastructure Project Manager Australian MSP

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager based in Sri Lanka to support an Australian Managed Service Provider (MSP) and its clients.

The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of IT Infrastructure Project Management experience , with strong hands-on experience working within an Australian MSP environment and managing Australian clients.

The candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end IT infrastructure projects, coordinating technical teams and vendors, managing client communication, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Entra ID, Active Directory, networking, cloud infrastructure, migrations, cybersecurity, and managed IT services is required.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end IT infrastructure projects from initiation through completion.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across Australian clients and environments.
- Coordinate with Service Desk, Systems, Network, Cloud, Security, and other technical teams.

- Manage projects involving
- Microsoft 365 migrations and implementations

- Azure and cloud migrations
- Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Management
- Entra ID / Active Directory projects

- Server and network upgrades

- Office/site relocations

- Hardware refresh and deployments





- Backup and Disaster Recovery
- Cybersecurity and infrastructure improvement projects
- Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, resource requirements, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Manage project scope, change requests, and approvals.
- Conduct project meetings and provide regular updates to Australian clients and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors, suppliers, and technology partners.
- Maintain project documentation, RAID logs, status reports, and handover documentation.
- Ensure projects meet agreed SLAs, KPIs, quality standards, and client expectations.
- Coordinate successful project handover to the Managed Services / Operations team.
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and client experience.

Required Skills & Experience

- 7+ years of IT Infrastructure Project Management experience.
- Previous experience working with an Australian MSP is mandatory or strongly preferred.
- Proven experience managing projects for Australian clients.
- Strong understanding of MSP operations and managed IT services.




- Proven experience managing multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 7+ years of IT Infrastructure Project Management experience
- Australian MSP experience
- Experience managing Australian SMB / mid-market clients
- Strong MSP project delivery experience
- Strong technical understanding of Microsoft and cloud infrastructure
- Experience coordinating multiple technical teams and vendors
- Experience with PSA / ITSM / project management tools
- ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is an advantage
