About the Company

Vastu Vihar, a project of Technoculture Building Centre Pvt. Ltd., is engaged in sustainable and innovative building and construction work in Bodh Gaya, Bihar. We are looking for a capable and detail-oriented Purchaser to manage procurement of materials and equipment, including imports from international suppliers.

Role Overview The Purchaser will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services at the best quality, price, and delivery terms. The role involves handling local purchases as well as international purchases and payments to suppliers in China, the US, and Europe, along with maintaining accurate purchase and accounting records.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement

- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable local and international suppliers
- Obtain quotations, compare rates, and negotiate prices and terms
- Raise purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery
- Coordinate with site and project teams to understand material requirements and schedules
- Maintain optimal stock levels and avoid project delays due to shortages

International Purchasing and Payments

- Handle import procurement from China, the US, and Europe
- Manage international payments (wire transfers/TT, LC, advance payments) in compliance with banking and RBI/FEMA norms
- Coordinate shipping, customs clearance, freight forwarding, and import documentation (invoice, packing list, bill of lading, etc.)
- Track foreign exchange rates and payment timelines

Accounting and Documentation

- Maintain purchase records, supplier ledgers, and vendor reconciliations




- Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and goods received
- Process payments and coordinate with the accounts team
- Handle GST, TDS, and other tax-related documentation for purchases
- Prepare regular purchase and expense reports for management

Vendor Management

- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Monitor supplier performance on quality, price, and delivery
- Resolve disputes, returns, and quality issues with vendors

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in construction, building materials, or a related industry
- Working knowledge of accounting (Tally or similar software, GST, TDS, ledgers, reconciliation)
- Experience with international payments and import procedures involving China, the US, and Europe
- Understanding of import documentation, customs, and foreign exchange basics
- Good negotiation and communication skills in English and Hindi
- Proficiency in MS Excel, email, and basic computer applications
- Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and honesty

Preferred (Good to Have)

- Experience sourcing from Chinese suppliers (e.g., Alibaba, Made-in-China)
- Knowledge of building materials and construction supply chains
- Familiarity with Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW, etc.)

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month, depending on experience and skills
