Role & responsibilities

Mizaj is hiring a Purchase Manager based in Nungambakkam, Chennai, to manage company purchases, including fabrics, trims, garment accessories, administrative and operational supplies. The role reports to the Accounts Head.

- Coordinate with departments to understand purchase requirements and delivery timelines.
- Identify suppliers, obtain quotations and compare prices, quality and commercial terms.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery commitments within approved limits.
- Prepare and follow up on purchase orders.
- Track deliveries and resolve shortages, delays and supplier issues.
- Coordinate quality and quantity checks with receiving teams.
- Maintain purchase records and coordinate invoice reconciliation with Accounts.
- Monitor purchasing expenses and supplier performance.

Preferred candidate profile





- Any graduate with 3-5 years of relevant purchasing or procurement experience.
- Hands-on experience in supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, negotiation and purchase order management is mandatory.
- Textile, garment or apparel purchasing experience is preferred. Candidates from other industries with robust purchasing experience are welcome.
- Ability to coordinate with suppliers, internal departments and Accounts.
- Strong negotiation, follow-up, cost-control and record-maintenance skills.
- Immediate joining preferred.

- Monthly salary: 40,00045,000.
