1. Job Objective

To manage procurement of raw materials, fabrication consumables, engineering components, subcontracting services, and other project-related requirements while ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery as per project schedules.
1. Key Responsibilities

A. Material Procurement
- Procure raw materials such as MS plates, HR plates, CR sheets, structural steel, beams, channels, angles, pipes, tubes, and sections.
- Purchase welding consumables, including electrodes, MIG/TIG wires, gases, grinding wheels, and cutting tools.
- Procure mechanical components, fasteners, bearings, valves, motors, gearboxes, and other engineering items as required.
- Source fabricated components, machined parts, and bought-out items as per drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate procurement of painting materials, industrial coatings, blasting materials, and other fabrication-related consumables.

B. Vendor Development and Management
- Identify, evaluate, and develop vendors for raw materials, machining, fabrication, machining subcontracting, heat treatment, galvanizing, and surface treatment.
- Obtain quotations from approved vendors and compare prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and quality standards.
- Negotiate prices and commercial terms to achieve cost savings.
- Maintain an approved vendor list and periodically evaluate vendor performance.

Purchase Order Management
- Prepare and release purchase orders based on approved purchase requisitions.
- Ensure purchase orders clearly specify material grades, sizes, quantities, technical specifications, applicable standards, inspection requirements, and delivery terms.
- Follow up with suppliers for timely material delivery as per project requirements.
- Track open purchase orders and expedite critical materials to avoid production delays.
- Coordinate amendments, cancellations, and order closures where required.

D. Technical and Quality Coordination
- Understand engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), material specifications, and technical requirements.
- Ensure procurement complies with applicable material standards such as IS, ASTM, ASME, or EN, as specified by the project.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department for material test certificates (MTCs), inspection certificates, and traceability requirements.
- Ensure procurement documentation complies with project quality plans and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with stores and quality teams for material receipt, inspection, and rejection or replacement of nonconforming materials.

E. Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Planning, Quality, Stores, Accounts, and Project Management teams.
- Review material requirements against production schedules and project priorities.
- Resolve material shortages, delivery issues, and supplier-related concerns.
- Ensure critical materials are procured well in advance to maintain uninterrupted production.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
