Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Engineer – Purchase & Planning to manage procurement, vendor development, inventory control, and material planning activities. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in purchase/procurement, inventory management, vendor coordination, and ERP-based systems, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesPurchase & Procurement

- Develop and maintain a cost-effective vendor/supplier base for timely procurement of materials.
- Identify and develop alternate vendors for materials, spares, and consumables.
- Invite quotations from vendors as per BOM and evaluate them on techno-commercial parameters.
- Negotiate prices, commercial terms, delivery schedules, and finalize Purchase Orders/Work Contracts.
- Manage local and import purchase orders and ensure timely material availability.
- Coordinate effectively with vendors, accounts, stores, logistics, and internal teams.
- Follow up with vendors regarding purchase orders, invoices, deliveries, and outstanding matters.
- Periodically review material prices and negotiate with vendors for better commercial terms.
- Monitor market conditions, stock levels, lead times, and anticipated requirements to ensure optimum purchasing.
- Ensure purchases are made within approved company guidelines and processes.
- Avoid overstocking by monitoring slow-moving and excess inventory.




- Ensure purchase transactions and POs are properly updated through ERP/IMMS software.

Inventory Management
- Conduct ABC analysis and monitor inventory levels, lead times, and material consumption.
- Maintain optimum minimum and maximum stock levels.
- Monitor inventory to minimize wastage, excess stock, and dead inventory.
- Give special attention to inventory management of imported materials.
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of book stock versus physical stock in coordination with the Accounts team.
- Monitor and analyze slow-moving, non-moving, and dead stock.
- Maintain proper stock records and ensure timely updation of bin cards.
- Coordinate with Stores, Logistics, Production, and other departments for smooth material flow.
- Support internal, external, and bank stock audits.
- Ensure proper storage and maintenance of materials in positive condition.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in Purchase, Procurement, Planning, or Inventory Management.
- Strong knowledge of vendor development, negotiation, procurement, and inventory control.
- Experience in a manufacturing industry will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of ERP/IMMS or other inventory/procurement software.
- Strong analytical, coordination, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and inventory reporting.

Pay: Up to ₹50,000.00 per month
