Role Overview

We are looking for a Production Support Lead who will embed a strong Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) culture across Chubb's technology operations. You will own production stability, release management, and non-production environment governance for a transaction-heavy, always-on insurance technology estate. You come from environments where reliability is not a nice-to-have — it is the product.

You know what good looks like when everything is on fire, and you build the systems, culture, and automation that prevent fires before they start. Candidates from Banking, Payments, Fintech, and high-throughput product companies are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Own production operations and SRE culture across Chubb's digital platform — reliability, availability, performance, and incident response are your direct accountability.
- Define and enforce SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets across services; make reliability a first-class engineering concern embedded into delivery from day one.
- Lead incident management end-to-end: detection, triage, resolution, post-mortem, and relentless follow-through on action items — no repeat incidents.




- Manage release management and deployment governance — change control, rollout planning, rollback readiness, and deployment risk assessment.
- Govern non-production environments: capacity management, stability, data governance, and access controls.
- Build and operate observability platforms: metrics, distributed tracing, structured logging, alerting, and executive dashboards that give genuine signal — not false comfort.
- Drive aggressive automation of operational toil — runbook automation, self-healing workflows, intelligent alerting, and predictive issue detection.
- Partner with engineering teams to embed reliability requirements into architecture and delivery from the outset; make SRE a shared engineering responsibility.
- Lead and develop the operations and support team; set the cultural standard for operational excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking For

- Strong SRE and operations leadership background in transaction-driven, high-availability, always-on environments.
- Experience from Banking, Payment services, or high-throughput product companies (Fintech, ride-hailing, quick-commerce, marketplace platforms, or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience with enterprise observability tooling: Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, New Relic, or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of release management, deployment pipelines, change governance, and production risk controls.
- Demonstrated experience defining and operating against SLOs and error budgets in a production environment.
- Incident management at scale: you have been the person who restores service under pressure and owns the blameless RCA to prevent recurrence.
- Cloud operations experience (Azure or AWS): networking, infrastructure resilience, and service reliability patterns.
- Exposure to AI/automation in operations context: intelligent alerting, automated triage, runbook automation, and AIOps tooling.
- 3+ years of operations or SRE leadership experience; able to build, motivate, and retain a high-performing on-call culture.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 15+ years in technology operations or SRE roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Candidates from Banking, Payment services, and high-throughput product environments are strongly preferred.
