Job Title: Production Supervisor – Toor Dal Mill

About Us

Vardhman Dal Mill is a toor dal processing unit in Indore. We are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to run our mill floor every day and help us get more good dal out of every quintal of raw tur.

What You Will Do

- Run daily production from raw tur intake to finished dal: cleaning, conditioning, dehusking, splitting, grading and packing.
- Track recovery for every batch and record output of fatka (1st number), sava number, kachri and churi per 100 kg of raw material.
- Find and fix the causes of low recovery, such as roller gap, conditioning and drying.
- Operate and set up our Meyer colour sorter, including sensitivity, feed rate and re-sorting of rejects, so that positive dal is not wasted.
- Check raw material quality on arrival: moisture, foreign matter and grain size.
- Manage and schedule mill workers and keep production targets on track.
- Plan routine maintenance of rollers, sieves, aspirators and the sorter with the maintenance team.
- Maintain hygiene and safety on the shop floor.
- Report daily production,



recovery and wastage to management.

What We Are Looking For

- Atleast 1-2 years of experience in a dal mill, pulse processing unit or similar grain processing plant.
- Practical knowledge of toor dal milling and dal grading.
- Experience running a colour sorter. Meyer experience is a plus.
- Comfortable keeping daily production records on paper, in Excel or in software.
- Able to lead a team of workers on the floor.
- Language: Hindi /English preferred
- Education: Diploma / B.Tech in Food Technology, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent experience
